City of Clare

Parks & Recreation

The Parks and Recreation Department was established in 2005 after the creation of the second Master Parks and Recreation plan for the City of Clare. The mission of the City of Clare Recreation Department is as follows:

“The mission of the City of Clare Recreation Department is to contribute to the positive development and well being of the community through leadership and the provision of parks, trails, and recreational facilities. This will be accomplished through partnership and cooperation with other recreation service providers in the community in order to maximize all available resources. The driving focus of Parks and Recreation is to encourage health, fitness, cultural, recreational, educational, and social opportunities in our community.”

The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for creating and implementing recreation programs and services to meet identified needs of groups within the city of Clare and for coordinating city efforts with sports and recreation partner organizations that are providing recreation services for the community.

The Parks and Recreation Department is committed to offering quality programs to all residents of the City. Should you have an idea or a suggestion for a program or special event, do not hesitate to contact us!

Volunteers are an essential part of the Parks and Recreation Department. If you would like to volunteer for an event, please let us know! We need help from our community!
